Ooops!

My last post has now become an embarrassment to me for several reasons. Firstly because it's ridiculous to believe that the Mars could look as big as the Moon. Secondly because there are some silly mistakes in it such as the use of 'cultivate' instead of 'culminate'. Thirdly because today I received an apology email from the person who originally sent me the email saying she was sorry but she had fallen for a hoax. Well me too!
I could make excuses and say it was the sleepless night before and the shooting star that caused me to be a little dazed, yet I'm not big on making or accepting excuses, I'd rather admit I'd made a mistake and grab the learning experience.
I could have deleted the post, and possibly should have, yet I often say I live to make others laugh, so the laugh is on me today.

Trip to Wollongong - Laughs

This photo was taken at Tilba and I immediately conjured in my mind a toothless old guy searching the road for his teeth.

There were plenty of laughs! The things I remember most about the adventures I have in my life are the laughs often. Andy, the love of my life and travelling companion provided most of them.

When we drove through the little hamlet of 'Suggan Buggan' we passed this little cottage with a family sitting out on the veranda and he dared me to go ask them where McDonalds was.

When we arrived in Jindabyne, we were having a coffee and a police car pulled up, we had just watched the movie 'Jindabyne' before we left and he 'dared' me to ask the police man if they'd caught the murderer yet. When we passed the service station that had featured in the movie, he dared me to ask if Gabrielle Byrne was in.

At Kiama, on the way home a kid was leaning on his shorter brother in front of me. Andy dared me to lean on him. At one of the caravan parks we stayed at there was live music. It wasn't really the bonus they had advertised and Andy dared me to go and ask them to turn it down.

He watches too much Ed.

Oh ZeFrank is good too

PS: Sorry, but this is really good too. Ze Frank too, TED is good. I know, I really should start saving posts as drafts until I am sure I am finished. As a bonus to you for your inconvenience, I am willing to put this other Ze Frank from Revver up, but make sure you watch the TED one, cause it's good....:

Stuck In Snow

In keeping with our winter theme. This is quite funny. Today could have been a day like this little clip illustrates. I have been meditating upon waking this week and I have observed myself being a lot calmer than usual. I like it!

Mad Dogs and Englishmen

AKA How to Kill Your Neighbours Dog in some places
If you are looking for it in Australia or New Zealand though, it is Mad Dogs and Englishmen. This film, starring Kenneth Branagh, who is one of my favourite actors. This film was fabulous. I laughed and cried frequently throughout it. I highly recommend it as entertainment.

Beige

I have spent a bit of time this week looking at houses for sale. I like houses that are spacious and a bit different. There aren't too many around. I have always been willing to overlook many expensive problems for something in that category. Which is quite dangerous to my finances. It's lucky I have someone who is level headed with me this time.
A bit different, to me, is not paint colour or extreme laminex, but structual difference. I like homes that have been built to incorporate the environment outside or with designs that take into account views or weather. I like houses that are not the same as every other house in the streets. I like streets with individual houses and no twins in sight.
There are a lot of little houses with renovations done that are fabulous and others that are too extreme and appear out of character for the house. I am growing to prefer the beige that Stan our interior decorator when we were in 'Unique Furnishings' always recommended with a laugh. Reminds me of the 'beige joke' told at my wedding.

Cooking Dinner & Desperate Housewives

Tonight I have enjoyed cooking dinner. I like Monday nights dinners. I have to confess I love watching "Desperate Housewives". I finally got that it was comedy after watching my family watch it for months. I would scoff at them saying, that show is rubbish, why do you watch it. Finally their laughter drew me in. I really enjoy it now. The last time I looked forward to such escape was when "Ally McBeal' was on. I am not sure why but I don't like much in the way of TV shows.
Anyway, because I know I am going to sit and chill and watch this show, I put extra effort into cooking dinner on Monday nights.

Does that make sense?

I really ought to be correcting......

Ooh I found the Jedi Series funny. Yep, these are the kinds of things I do with my time when I should be doing mounds of correction...... Oh but this is really funny. Watch it and cry.

Can't say what happened to episode 2, but I promise, when I find it, I'll bring it to your attention.

Ahhh procrastination, such a lifelong habit, difficult to break.

Bunny deprivation.....

Poor Ella... the neighbours have a pet rabbit that she's not allowed to eat.
When we were at Rushworth I witnessed Ella chase and kill a rabbit. I saw toddlers and mum next door chasing the new family pet around the court and the scene flashed back into my mind.
Andy wisely decided he and Ella should go next door and meet and greet. When they returned I heard that Ella wanted to taste the bunny and Andy growled and Ella has been miserable all afternoon.
We will have to keep the gates closed now.....
